Expanding a note stub into a permanent note

In this video I walk through the process of taking a note stub (i.e. a “dump” of information) and expanding it into a more comprehensive and useful permanent note.

In the video I also review the sources I use to add information to the note, talking about why I value some sources more than others, and explain what I’m thinking about when deciding which sources to reference.

I’m mainly talking about permanent notes in this video, although the points I raise would probably be useful for other kinds of notes (e.g. project notes or daily notes).

Build an academic note-taking system to get ideas out of your mind, providing a framework for working more effectively with them.
