Hobbies for academics

Even the best jobs create stress. Hobbies are a way of letting stress go before it explodes.

My problem is that my hobbies look a lot like my work.

This doesn’t bother me because I think of ‘work’ as the stuff my employer pays me to do, while my hobbies are the things I enjoy doing in my own time. The fact that they deal with similar ideas isn’t really a problem.
